Here is a post from a "cavs insider" about lebron being a FA.
I'm sure the national media will have lots of fun with this piece of news, but it's nothing more than Lebron preferring to do things on his timeline.
I've had conversations on the subject in the last two days with members of our front office, and they informed me of some of the things in the meetings that have been going on between Ferry/Gilbert, and Leon Rose and others involved with Lebron's group.
All angles of the process are being reviewed, and really the question of whether Lebron is going to remain a Cavalier isn't even an issue. He's going to be sigining on with the team ...
The issues are moving more along the lines of issues that go far deeper than whether he remains a Cavalier, and into terms and how we can join together to further both the Cavs and Lebron's longterm goals.
Structuring things so that we can become long and successful longterm business partners.
Beyond that, talks even go further but really of no bearing on what fans need to know about.
But, we've got Lebron for many more years, and that will all come to fruition at the right time and right place. But, from this point on into the future I'm sure taks will be ongoing on setting this up, and working on putting things in place so that this is without question the best place for Lebron to play.
I'll say this ...he's brought alot of ideas to the table that will make great sense ofr both he and the Cavs .. he's obviously been thinking about how to best make things work mutually between him and the team for a long time ...and included in that plan is his teammates and business partners.
Thats from W&G on another cavs fourm. He works with the team and is legit..... posted about us getting joe smith last season..... the mo trade.... the big trade in 07-08 deadline.... drafting jj hickson.
